104 Broadway, Bexleyheath
Project: Residential and Commercial
Size: 210 m² residential, 50 m² commercial
Location: London, Bexleyheath
Client: Private
Our client approached us to provide post-planning services after securing permission for three flats. We offered to improve on this planning return and secured an approval for a larger development. The scheme features a three-storey building with a shop on the ground floor and four residential units.
The design addresses a challenging urban context, revitalizing an underutilized area at the rear of the High Street. With a central courtyard, dual-aspect flats, and thoughtful provisions for refuse storage and cycle parking, the project will bring vibrancy to the area.
Additionally, the development is set to contribute to the regeneration of Friswell Place, helping to transform this neglected part of the town centre into a more dynamic and appealing space.
The implementation of the scheme is challenging due to the very narrow land with rear access only. An innovative structural solution helps in delivering the scheme efficiently between two adjoining buildings.
